Raleigh, NC

Thermo Fisher Scientific

Doe & Ingalls, now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, a North Carolina based chemical supply chain company selected Red Rock Developments to complete a 60,000 square-foot east coast distribution facility to serve Doe & Ingalls’ market growth strategy.

Through a competitive bid process, Red Rock Developments was able to differentiate itself from the competition by providing a comprehensive building solution to accommodate Doe & Ingalls’ specialty design criteria. By working with the customer, Red Rock Developments was able to assist the tenant in the design and completion of a state of the art facility.

Due to the specialized nature of the facility and the associated above market costs, Red Rock Developments offered the company a Build-to-Suit Own strategy providing a true owners perspective and guiding the tenant through the complicated design and permitting stages of the project. The result was a certified H3/H4 facility designed to the exact specifications of the customer.

Andy Finn, Doe & Ingalls’ Vice President of Distribution Services states, “Red Rock Developments’ unique ability to assemble and manage the right design and construction team to compliment our architectural firm, while advising us from an owners perspective, provides us great comfort that our risk as the owner-operator of the facility are being effectively managed.”
