180,200 SF Freezer/Cooler Distribution Facility

Nicholas and Company, based in Salt Lake City, UT, is a third-generation, privately-owned food distribution company providing regional service to the western United States. Due to substantial growth in its client base and distribution area, the company needed a new regional distribution center that would allow the company to economically serve its larger footprint. After surveying multiple markets, Nicholas decided to locate its newest, state-of-the-art facility in the city of North Las Vegas, Nevada. The company interviewed several development teams to partner with the general contractor, Hansen-Rice Construction, and Red Rock Developments was chosen to provide a turnkey, build-to-suit facility due to its extensive product knowledge and dedicated senior-level attention.

Red Rock integrated itself seamlessly with the design-build team to construct an approximately 180,200 square foot dry storage and freezer/cooler facility for Nicholas. The new facility encompasses a total of 7.9 million cubic feet comprised of 2.9 million cubic feet of dry warehouse, 2.3 million cubic feet of cooler space, 1.3 million cubic feet of freezer space, 0.4 million cubic feet of office and a 1.0 million cubic foot engine room. Despite a challenging permitting environment, Red Rock successfully completed the project on time and on budget for the company.
