Three industry leaders form new commercial real estate development firm: Red Rock Developments

Columbia, SC– Red Rock Developments is a new company formed by an aggressive, seasoned team that combines over 10 million square feet of commercial development and construction experience. Bill Smith, Chief Executive Officer, is a recognized leader in the field of commercial real estate development, acquisition, sale/leaseback and management of single tenant properties. He was formerly a partner and founding principal of Holmes Smith Developments. Bill is joined by two partners, Bill Amick and Allen Smith. Bill Amick will serve as Chairman of Red Rock Developments. He is currently also Chairman of The Amick Company and has developed several high profile projects in Beaufort, SC and near Hendersonville, NC. Allen Smith has been named Vice Chairman at Red Rock Developments. He was formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of Powertel and Chairman of Presolutions, Inc.

Red Rock’s focus will be on build-to-suit lease transactions, speculative buildings and portfolio acquisitions throughout the Southeast. This region has developed a strong base for commercial real estate activity. It has multiple ports, major rail lines, interstate highway hubs and is aggressively growing their economies.
